Our Story

The journey of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in Pakistan is a testimony of what God can accomplish through vision, relationship, sacrifice, and obedience to the Great Commission.

1

February 2023: Mission Work Begins

Bishop Phillip N. Johnson and ministry partners began traveling throughout Pakistan preaching the Gospel, strengthening pastors, conducting leadership conferences, and baptizing believers in the name of Jesus Christ.

2

Growing Relationships

Over successive mission journeys, relationships with pastors and churches deepened, Apostolic teaching expanded, and a growing network of leaders began identifying with the mission and fellowship of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.

3

A Historic Milestone

Pakistan was officially established as the 80th Episcopal Diocese of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., with Bishop Phillip N. Johnson appointed to serve as its Diocesan Bishop.

This transition represents more than organizational growth; it is the establishment of a lasting Apostolic presence designed to serve generations to come.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple and biblical: to preach Jesus Christ, make disciples, strengthen churches, equip leaders, and serve people. In harmony with the mission of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., we are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel in its fullness and equipping people and resources to reach the lost.

Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity and conviction.

Preserve and teach the Apostolic doctrine.

Lead souls to repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

Equip pastors, ministers, evangelists, teachers, and emerging leaders.

Strengthen existing churches and establish new works.

Develop unity and fellowship among Apostolic believers.

Reach cities, villages, and underserved communities with the Gospel.

Demonstrate the compassion of Christ through meaningful humanitarian service.

Apostolic in Doctrine. Compassionate in Service.

Gospel Proclaimed. Compassion Demonstrated.

We believe the Gospel must be both proclaimed and demonstrated. The work of the Pakistan District Council extends beyond the pulpit — alongside evangelism, church development, and pastoral training, the Diocese is engaged in humanitarian initiatives that address significant needs within Pakistani communities.

ALC Education Center

Children from underserved families receive access to education and Christian formation.

Lifeline Medical Mission

Medical professionals provide healthcare and medicine to communities in need through mobile medical care.

Water Well Initiative

Villages receive sustainable access to clean drinking water.

Justice & Religious Freedom

Vulnerable Christians and other minorities receive advocacy and assistance when facing injustice.

This is our understanding of ministry: preaching the Gospel while putting the Gospel into action. We preach Christ to the soul, while extending His compassion to the whole person.

Building the Church Throughout Pakistan

The Pakistan District Council is being developed as a national fellowship with regional leadership designed to strengthen ministry throughout the country. The Diocese brings together pastors and churches for Apostolic fellowship, biblical instruction, ministerial development, accountability, evangelism, and coordinated Kingdom work.

Pastors

Investing in pastors who will strengthen churches.

Teachers

Raising up teachers who will preserve sound doctrine.

Evangelists

Sending evangelists who will reach the lost.

Young Leaders

Developing young leaders who will carry this message into another generation.

Congregations

Building congregations that will become centers of spiritual transformation and compassionate service within their communities.

Our goal is not simply to conduct events. Our goal is to build a sustainable Apostolic movement.

Inaugural Diocesan Advisory & Executive Leadership

The inaugural leadership of the Pakistan District Council brings together pastors and Apostolic leaders representing strategic regions throughout Pakistan. Together with the Diocesan Bishop, these leaders provide counsel, regional oversight, ministry coordination, and support for the continued growth of the Diocese.

Our Vision

We envision a strong and united Apostolic church reaching across Pakistan — from major cities to rural villages — where pastors are equipped, churches are strengthened, souls are saved, families are transformed, communities are served, and the name of Jesus Christ is proclaimed without compromise.

A Harvest Field

We believe Pakistan is not merely a mission field. Pakistan is a harvest field.

A Self-Sustaining Diocese

We envision a self-sustaining, nationally connected and spiritually vibrant Diocese that continues to grow through Pakistani pastors, leaders, churches, and believers equipped to carry the Apostolic message throughout their own nation and beyond.

A Foundation Being Established

The work is growing. Leaders are being raised. Churches are being strengthened. And we believe that what God has begun in Pakistan is only the beginning.

Pakistan is not merely a mission field. Pakistan is a harvest field.
One Diocese. Many Regions. One Apostolic Mission.
