Suffragan Bishop Phillip Johnson serves as a missionary to Pakistan through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and pastors Apostolic Life Church in Bay City. His calling bridges continents, bringing hope and practical help to communities in need.

Why Water Matters
Access to clean water is not a luxury—it's a basic human need, a matter of justice, dignity, and life itself. When communities gain clean water, they gain health, opportunity, and hope for generations to come.
Unsafe Water Harms Health
A Silent Killer
Contaminated water is responsible for widespread disease and preventable deaths across Pakistan. Children under five are especially vulnerable, facing threats from waterborne illnesses like cholera, typhoid, and chronic diarrhea.
When families have no choice but to use contaminated sources, they face a heartbreaking dilemma: drink unsafe water or go thirsty. Many communities draw water from sources polluted by agricultural runoff, industrial waste, and inadequate sanitation systems.

Heightened Risk
Danger on the Water Journey
The path to water is often a path of danger. Long trips to distant water sources place women and girls at increased risk of violence, harassment, and assault—especially in remote rural settings where they must travel alone or in small groups.
These risks are well-documented across Pakistan's water-scarce regions. Women report feeling unsafe during early morning or evening water runs. Many face unwanted attention, threatening encounters, or worse. Some families keep girls home from school entirely to avoid the danger.
When a well comes close to home, it doesn't just provide clean water—it restores safety, dignity, and peace of mind. Mothers no longer fear for their daughters. Girls can focus on learning instead of surviving the journey to water.
Our Second Response — Ahmed Khaskhli Well
Reaching Remote Communities
Four hours outside Karachi, in the remote village of Ahmed Kashli, Apostolic Life Church sponsored the construction of our second well. This isolated community had long suffered without reliable access to clean water.
The journey to Ahmed Kashli is challenging—rough roads, extreme heat, and distance from urban centers. Yet this is precisely where the need is greatest. Remote villages often fall through the cracks of government infrastructure projects.
Today, Ahmed Kashli has a functioning well that serves the entire village. Children drink safe water. Women no longer make dangerous treks. The community is healthier, stronger, and more hopeful.
Two wells. Two communities transformed. This is just the beginning.
